Fu et al. [18] investigated the direct extraction of magnesium from dolomite via reduction using ferrosilicon in vacuum condition. The experiments were performed using mixture with dolomite to ferrosilicon ratio of 2 to 1, 3% CaF 2, and 3% organic binder. The mixture was pressed into pellets and each pellet was placed in an alumina crucible.
